See the Person not the Problem

This page has been devoted to help answer some of those very important questions that all patents probably are thinking about during this time of need that you are experiencing.  It can also be viewed by the public as an important learning tool about the disease.

Listed below are just a few things that I would like to bring to your attention that are some of the common misconceptions of this disease::

Cerebral palsy is not a disease or illness so it is not contagious.

Cerebral palsy is not a progressive disorder.

The damage to the brain is not progressive, but it can effect the body resulting in progressive deformities and disabilities such as curvature of the spine or dislocation of the hips.

Because cerebral palsy is not a sickness or disease and not a progressive disorder it is not usually the primary cause of death in the children that do have the disease.
